Pipedrive guides you to set up pipeline stages on first login. Default stages: Lead In, Contact Made, Demo Scheduled, Proposal Sent, Negotiation, Won/Lost. Drag to reorder, add new stages, and set conversion rates and dwell time goals per stage.
Keep pipeline stages under 7, or sales will struggle to manage. Set "Exit Criteria" per stage (e.g., Demo Scheduled requires meeting time) to ensure data quality.
